lets try this…
ok lets look carefully at experience
what are you aware of?
many things, of which no doubt
there would be no meaning unless there existed some relation between those things
but tell me, of your consciousness, attentiveness towards an object
is it ever attentive towards two objects at once?
you say there is consciousness of experience
ok but to determine relations and hence meaning
intentionality must be brought into account
but as soon as intentionality is brought into account
the mirade of experience is condenced as into a blackhole of particularity
to be an object of consciousness is to be an object
that.. X that.. Y that.. Z
to posit meaning we must relate
that is to say rise to the level of singularity out of the level of multiplicity
to do this consciousness searches for likeness
but heres the rub: to posit a resemblence between X and Y it is necessary that both X and Y are given to consciousness at the same moment
try in vain
but you say we have hybrid objects, synthesis does exist
from whence did they come?
proximity can also provide a relation
that X is nearer to that Y than to anything else
perhaps even itself
there is synthesis
a synthesis in degree of meaningless position
not a synthesis in relation of meaningful kind
but surely meaning exists and it is to be found in relations
perhaps the switch in intentionality becomes synthesized when the proximity of X is closer to Y than Y is to itself
otherwise synthesis would never occur
meaning is a black hole
at least within consciousness limited to a single particular apecture
to know the overlapping proximities of all things into the infinitely plummetting singularity would be to know nothing and to know all
